Mythic - Demystified
Mythic Accounting arose from the ongoing need of businesses - small businesses and its individuals - to gain more than tick box accounting.
The need exists for a mythical accountant, who not only completes the compliance matters with routine precision. But can also see the bigger picture, the uniqueness, the magic - and experienced enough to deliver these complex concepts into comprehendible insights.
We seek to keep the core values of accounting alive - but forgo the blackened shackles and white paper forms - and break free into a world of colourful insights, adding magic to businesses.
Everyone has to start their story somewhere - we have started, and so can you.
My Story
My name is Jamie Jones, Director of Mythic Accounting, and I am here to help. I have forever been enamoured by numbers, logic, and puzzles - finding delight in their functionality. So, I was fortunate enough that my path was pre-defined – accountancy. Like most of us, my journey here has been full of trials and tribulations.
In short, I graduated with a 1st in Accounting and Finance BSc, ACA Chartered Accountant, and even passing the prestigious Mensa exam.
Since diving into the world of accounting in 2017, I have audited and analysed highly complex accounting models and data of household names and even the UK Government, which as you can imagine, wasn’t smooth sailing. But it was necessary – giving me the knowledge and skills to achieve my goals in life.
Outside of accounting I also have a penchant for programming - having self-taught Python, Machine Learning, AI, and more. With side projects such as building an AI bot for business RAG (Retrieval Augmented Generation), automated analysis, and algorithms for stock market trading… I am never short of mental outlets!
But above all else, my main goal is to make this journey of yours, into the world of business and finance, less overwhelming and more colourful. To share with you my knowledge, to elevate your success.
I find pleasure in working with like-minded people running their small businesses - less zero's, less complex, but a whole lot more heart!
